If you arrived at this page directly be sure to check on the left to access The Cambodia page, and the right to off site Peacework Medical's web site for additional information.......

Listed above are tabs that direct you to various visual personal recording of my experiance during my trip to the Barey Pagoda in 2009. These visuals are not intended to be a reflection on others personal experiances or the medical purpose and humanitary mission of Peacework Medical Projects, detailed information about that is linked on the right to that official site, dedicated to a indepth explaination and how you can participate. This site is meant to give insight into how I participate and experiance my dedication to the goals of Peacework Medical and the personal goals of my life. More general information can be found on the Cambodia Page of this site by hitting the back button on this page. I look forward to posting future trips. As well as some of the past trips to Honduras.

The Slide Show

The Slide Show for the 2009 trip is broken down into six main sections that are then broken into subsections.

1) My personal favorite photos

2) Medical aspects divided into The Clinic and Treatment

3) Photos that other members of the trip have contributed and I have included in my slideshow.

4) Phnom Penh divided into photos of city life, the Mekong River on a friends boat, and Photos of Leo-Leo who manufactured a mold of a Lotus Blosson for me to bring home and make concrete castings of which you can see in some of the other photos that are used extensively in the country of Cambodia.

5) The contributing photographers to the slide show. I bring cameras to pass out to people interested in takeing photos, to get a view from their perspective on the clinic and what is important their lives, their village, and their families. Upon a return trip I will bring these photos in print form to pass to those in the photos. About 60% of the photos in this slide show were taken by those other photographers, please take the time to reflect on the photos as you are looking at their world through their eyes when viewing them. Which is why some may seem strange as they learn by proactice to capture on a digital camera what they are looking to record.

6) The Village section is made up of the faces of the people, the monks at the Pagoda we stayed with and set up clinic at, the Pagoda itself and surrounding area, the people we meet and the school in the pagoda area and last the strutures of the vilage........

Click on the items of interest listed in the directory on the left of the slide show page. You can come back to this page from the back button or home from the home button. To mamage the slide show, along the bottom you can click on the "enter full screen" to get a large view of the photos. You can scroll through the photos by controling the thumnails in the top margin and or start and stop a auto slide show that scans through the picture on a 2 second interval. You can download any image by double clicking the "download image" in the lower right corner and then click the image and select "save as" on your computer.

Enjoy

Videos

The first video "Sharing the Dream" like all the videos are available in four different media formats. Windows Media is the highest quality one.......but You Tube (a shorter version) allows for comment. Flash Choice has a larger view......please keep in mind that when I mention "doctor so and so" that these are inspirational nicknames given to some of our friends and monks who helped us in the medical clinic, they are not actual doctors, but were certainly inspired to follow that path.

You Tube has upgraded its file format......viewing is great......click in the lower right corner "HD" for high definition......and then the button just right of that for full screen.......ESC will take you out of full screen.

"Big Dream School" is a video of a visit to the local School at the Pagoda, nice song and bring your hanky.....

"Medical Clinic" will give you a insight to the clinic operations that we all were a part of......

"Supon's Family" is another aspect as we visited one of the monks families for coconuts and to meet his family.

You are welcome to send comments to me at the contact link on the left labeled "contact".

Remember is you want to be a part of Peacework Medical go to the link on the right and explore the web site full of information.....you don't need to leave town to participate in a meaningful way through events and donations.
